Come as you are
I'm Gina - a queer trauma-focused yoga teacher in Pittsburgh, PA
A Pittsburgh native. A student of yoga for over 10 years. A former tech employee that had the chance to learn yoga at work during my lunch breaks.
After a decade in tech, I was generally burnt out by "traditional" work life and craved doing something more meaningful with my days. I always said if could do any job in the world - I would teach yoga (or teach kids art). Then in 2022 I took the leap to pursue my dream of being a yoga teacher.

I completed my RYT-200 training in December 2022 at Be Yoga Oakmont under the training of Sarah Hummel. In all honesty, I'm still surprised at how quickly I was able to secure teaching jobs. I currently am teaching all across Pittsburgh, in different venues - from yoga studios to art galleries and more!

My focus with yoga classes are slow & mindful movements. We take fewer asanas (poses) than a traditional vinyasa class with an emphasis on building the foundation of each asanas. Find more info on the Services tab.

In 2020 I started focusing on my mental health and was diagnosed with C-PTSD. As I started to learn more about my diagnosis and how to manage it, I couldn't help but notice a lot of similarities to these tools and yoga classes. One quick search online and you will easily see the direct link between yoga techniques and trauma-healing. Here's looking at you vagus nerve!

Since then my goal has been to help other people learn to cope with and process their traumas in a safe environment. I offer personal trauma-focused classes that pair well with clinical therapy treatment. Use the contact link below for more info.

Again - all of my classes are queer safe spaces. A space for those that might struggle to find a space for them. It's an honor to me to share this practice with all humans and hope to see you soon!
